Yüksel Boz Öcal

Yüksel Boz Öcal was born in 1957. She completed her bachelor and master’s degree at Mimar Sinan University between 1978 and 1983. In 1991 she completed her sufficient art doctorate at Hacettepe University. In 1985 she participated in the Vakkorama Sculpture Competition and received an honorable mention prize. She worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Hacettepe University and the Ceramics Education Department in the Faculty of Vocational Education and Gazi Faculty of   Education of Gazi University. She is a member of Turkish Ceramics Federation, Society of United Painters, Sculptures and  Society of Graduates of Academy and International Association of Arts Plastic .She has participated in 13 exhibitions and competitions (between 1983 and 1996) and 32 group exhibitions (between 1982 and 2008). She has had solo exhibitions within the International Art and Handcrafts Fair at the Atatürk Culture Center in Ankara, which was organized by Forum Fair between 1995 and 1998. She also organized group exhibitions and workshops, within the activities of Forum Fair, which was organized for GUMEF, Ceramic Education Department in Ankara between 2006 and 2008. Since 2006 she has been working as a lecturer at the Ceramic Education Department in the Faculty of Vocational Education of Gazi University. Her works can be seen in different buildings not only in Ankara but also in other cities.
