Prof. Zehra Çobanlı

Zehra Çobanlı received Proficiency Degree in Arts at the Marmara University in 1981. She lived in Australia between 1986 and 1989. Upon her return, she contributed to the establishment of the Ceramic Department at Faculty of Fine Arts, Anadolu University. In 1993 she won the Japanese Monbusho Scholarship and studied at Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music. She has participated in many exhibitions, symposiums and researched at ceramic-glass centers and museums in many countries. She became Professor of Ceramics in 1996. Çobanlı  has displayed her works in 28 solo exhibitions and approximately 100 group exhibitions. Her works belong to various official and private collections both in Turkey and abroad. She has won many prizes from national and international ceramic competitions and institutions. She is one of the founding members of the International Society of Ceramic Art Education and Exchange (ISCAEE). Ceramic Artist, Zehra Çobanlı was the Head of the Ceramics Department at Faculty of Fine Arts from 1989 until 2007. She has been working as the Dean for Faculty of Fine Arts at Anadolu University.
