Seyit Mehmet Buçukoğlu

Seyit Mehmet Buçukoğlu was born in 1982 in Istanbul. After graduating from the Graphic Design Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 2005, he graduated from the Painting Department of the same Faculty in 2010. He has received 58 awards in national and international art and design competitions including Success Award at the 68th State Competition of Printing in 2007, 1st Award at the National Olympic Committee of Turkey in the  Olympic Art Competition in 2008, the Grand Prize at Istanbul Rotary Art Competition in 2011, and the Young Painter of the Year at RH+ArtMagazine Competition. Buçukoğlu has held 13 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He completed his post Graduate Program in Prastic Arts at Yeditepe University in 2013. Currently, he continues his doctoral degree, proficiency program in Plastic Arts at Yeditepe University. Besides his artictic activities at his private studio, Buçukoğlu works as a research assistant in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yeditepe University.
