Tahir Ün was born in Akhisar in 1960. He graduated from the Faculty of Language and History-Geography at Ankara University. He also studied History of European Art in the same Faculty for 2 years. He gave lectures on photography in the Center of Contemporary Arts in Ankara and in the Vocational College of Kara Elmas University in Safranbolu. Ün started photography in 1976. Currently he works as a photographer and visual artist at his own workshop in Izmir. Ün’s works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and events in Turkey and abroad.
