Yavuz Meyveci was born in Frankfurt in 1968. He finished at Kabataş High School for Boys in Istanbul. After studying at the Department of Geological Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering of Istanbul University for two years, he transferred to the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University and graduated from the Photography Department. Meyveci has worked as a photography correspondent in various magazines and journals such as Yaşama Sevinci magazine (1992-1995), Aktuel magazine (1996-1997), Time Out (1997-1998), Turkish Time magazine (2003-2006), and worked as a set photographer for films and drama including “Eğreti Gelin” (2004) and “Fırtına”. His photographs have been published in many magazines such as Yaşama Sevinci, Aktuel, Time Out, Skylife, Cinema, Cosmopolitan, National Geographic and Kids, Nstyle, Buğday, Sectors, Natura, Turkish Time, Tim Report, Hedef and Istanbul Encyclopedia. Currently, Meyveci works as a studio photographer, set photographer and magazine photographer in Istanbul.
