Yılmaz Aslantürk

Yılmaz Aslantürk was born in Artvin in 1964. He started drawing cartoons and painting at the age of 12. In 1982 he entered Mimar Sinan University. He published his cartoons in several magazines including Gırgır, Dıgıl and Avni. In 1990, he started drawing cartoons for Pişmiş Kelle magazine. Besides caricatures and cartoons, Aslantürk drew a cartoon column "Otisabi." With a support of Engin Ergönültaş, he drew animation stories under the title "Başımdan Geçti Bunlar." While working as a graphic designer at Yeni Yüzyıl newspapers, Aslantürk learned graphic programs on computer and prepared illustrations, maps and logos for several famous companies in Turkey. He prepared flash animation on the internet site of Milliyet newspaper. From 2002 to 2006, Aslantürk drew Otisabi stories for Penguen magazine. From 1999 to 2009, he directed the Graphic Department of Milliyet newspaper. Aslantürk currently draws Otisabi story for Uykusuz magazine. He has also works as a freelance graphic artist.
